Ingenious appointed by National Museums Liverpool

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve recently been appointed to the marketing and exhibition design roster of National Museums Liverpool, and are currently working on our first exhibition for this prestigious client.

Ingenious have long been associated with the heritage and culture sector, having worked with a broad range of museums and galleries throughout the United Kingdom. We met with NML late in 2019 and were delighted to be tasked with delivering our first exhibition and accompanying marketing campaign shortly afterwards.

“German Revolution: Expressionist Prints” will open on 10th April at the spectacular Lady Lever Art Gallery, which is located in the picturesque village of Port Sunlight on The Wirral. The exhibition features powerful prints by some of the most influential artists of the 20th century, including work by Munch, Schiele and Kokoschka.

The exhibition explores how the social, political, sexual and moral struggles taking place during the turbulent period of the German Revolution (1918-1919) moved artists to produce such dramatic imagery. The exhibition also features important prints by Gauguin and Picasso that demonstrate how artists outside Germany contributed to the evolution of Expressionism. The exhibition is drawn from the collection of The Hunterian, University of Glasgow.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Hartley, MD of Ingenious said “We’re absolutely delighted to be asked to work with the team at NML, and can’t wait to reveal our work on German Revolution. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us, and we’re determined to repay the faith shown in us by such a well respected institution.”
