Update: March 2021

It’s a year to the day that we closed the doors of our studio and went into lockdown. So, it seems fitting that in the first of our 2021 updates, we look back on a few recent projects and forward to what new work we have on the horizon…

Despite the challenges the continued lockdowns have presented, we’ve been working hard on a range of work for clients old and new alike. These include new marketing collateral for National Museums Liverpool venues Sudley House and Lady Lever Art Gallery. The work, which encompasses both print and digital, focusses on the permanent collections on display at Sudley and Lady Lever. We’re keen to see our work out in the open and helping to entice visitors back to visit these two beautiful venues as soon as they re-open their doors later this year.

Continuing the culture and heritage theme, we were thrilled to start 2021 with the news that we’ve been appointed to the exhibition design roster for The Hunterian in Glasgow. Part of the University of Glasgow, The Hunterian opened its doors in 1807, making it Scotland’s oldest museum and giving it a unique place within Scotland’s cultural heritage. The Hunterian today is home to one of the finest university collections in the world, and coincidentally, provided much of the content for ‘German Revolution: Expressionist Prints’ - our first exhibition design for National Museums Liverpool (for which you can download a case study here). We can’t wait to start our working relationship with them.

Just before Christmas we were asked by Desser, a manufacturer of prestigious conservatory and outdoor furniture, to design their 2021 brochure. This compact A5 landscape piece will be seen at all their retail outlets in the coming weeks. We’re absolutely delighted with the results, and we’re glad to say the client is too!

We’ve also been busy from a brand development perspective, working on identities for two new startup businesses. They couldn’t be more different! Breathe is a new PR consultancy primarily working with the automotive sector in the middle east, and Space Escape specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke garden buildings throughout the UK.

So what’s coming up?

Well, speaking of branding, we’re currently in the process of delivering a rebrand for one of our long standing clients. This project, which has been over a year in the making, represents a complete departure for the client in question and we’re excited to share this with you as soon as we can. We’re also about to start work on a new exhibition project for a long standing client, so there’s plenty keeping us occupied.

In the meantime, we hope you all continue to stay safe and well. Check back soon for a new blog post, and if you don’t already, give us a follow on Twitter @ingeniouscre8iv
