Update: June 2020

First and foremost, we hope you're all keeping safe and well?

Well, our latest agency update has certainly taken a different direction from what we'd originally planned. As you may know, the office was closed in mid March and home working has been the order of the day. We’re now phasing a return to the office whilst still continuing to work from home most of the time.

Sadly (although in the grand scheme of things it's not that important) many of the projects we were hoping to talk about this time have been either cancelled or postponed. So in lieu of lots of design related news, all of which can / will wait for another day, we thought we'd include a bit of Ingenious lockdown news instead!

Studio roundup…
As mentioned, there’s lots a number of projects on hold at the moment. However, here’s a snapshot of some of the projects we have been able to work on recently. As ever, it’s a mixed bag of design for print and exhibitions across our core audiences of automotive and education, for clients such as Vodafone Automotive, Four Recruitment, Alliance MBS, Macclesfield Museums and the very lovely Ellisland Farm near Dumfries.

Work in progress…
The studio is currently ticking over working on a couple of our annual projects - the Wilmslow Guild prospectus and ‘the Waconian’ yearbook for Cheadle Hulme School. Long standing clients both.

Barnaby is back! Sort of…
Pre lockdown, we were once again working on the creative execution of the bi-annual Barnaby Festival, which regular readers will know, takes place in our home town of Macclesfield. Whilst we were concerned that there would be no Barnaby this year, the team there have been working hard to ensure some great events will take place online, and as a consequence at least some of our creative will be used. Visit the Barnaby website for the latest news…

Talkin' bout a revolution...
You may recall our recent announcement that we've been appointed by National Museums Liverpool to work with them on both exhibitions and marketing campaigns. The first project we were tasked with is this exhibition of expressionist prints, which was due to open to the public earlier this month at Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight. Whilst we are disappointed not to be able to show you more, plans are afoot to deliver this exhibition post-lockdown, so watch this space.

Pickford on the move...
Long time friend (and client!) of the agency, James Pickford, is returning to UK motorsport this season in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship. Partnered with Nick Moss, James will be racing a McLaren 570s in the GT4 class. The car first turned a wheel at the championship media day on March 2nd, and was due to make its' race debut at Oulton Park on the easter weekend of April 11-13.

The new season opener is due to take place on August 1-2 at Oulton Park. We'll be reporting on James' season throughout the year, but if you'd like to get involved and attend a race with us, please do drop us a line!

We hope you all continue to stay safe and well. Check back soon for a new blog post, and if you don’t already, give us a follow on Twitter @ingeniouscre8iv
