Update: April 2018

It's been another busy month at Ingenious, with a number of new projects going through the studio. As ever, as much as we'd like to, there's some we can't talk about (yet!) but we hope to feature those in a future blog. However, here's a little rundown of what we've been up to in April...

PETER PAN MOAT BRAE TRUST
The month began with signoff of our brand development work for Moat Brae. For those who haven't heard, Moat Brae is a beautiful Georgian house with wonderful gardens and was credited by J.M. Barrie as inspiration for his legendary story, ‘Peter Pan’.

The Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust are now restoring the structure and fabric of the building and establishing a national centre that will celebrate children’s literature and storytelling across all time and all cultures. The trust also intend to reinvent the garden as J.M. Barrie’s Neverland, his ‘enchanted land’ where the playing of childhood games so inspired him.

We've worked up the core brand for the trust and a range of sub-brands for their various offers. We rolled out the new look and feel for a recent tourism expo in Glasgow, for which we were asked to design printed literature and a simple popup exhibition stand. As you might expect, a comprehensive set of brand guidelines, have now been issued to the client and their new website is now being created, so watch this space!

WORK IN PROGRESS
Other work going through the studio this month has included a range of design for print for the likes of The APC, Meridian Mobility Technology, Four Recruitment and Vodafone Automotive. We're also nearing completion of a new prospectus for Wilmslow Guild and are about to embark on the design of the 2018 Waconian yearbook for Cheadle Hulme School. Work for our friends at the Barnaby Festival also continues, with flyers and the all-important festival guide in progress. As you can see from the thumbnails below, there's been a few things going on, both on and off the mac...

ON OUR TRAVELS...
Away from the studio, we've been out and about a fair bit this month too. We had a great visit to Bishop Auckland to look at The Auckland Project. Here's a few shots of the refurbishment work in and around the Bishop's Castle and also the stunning new Auckland Tower visitor centre, which is due for completion later in 2018...

We've also been down the country as well as up! This was to install and breakdown an exhibition stand for Alliance Manchester Business School at the CIPD conference at London Olympia. As some of you will know, we have managed Alliance MBS's exhibition programme for a number of years and this is the third show for our most recent design. Almost time for another one!

AFTER HOURS...
As ever, it's not all work and no play. Happily for us, some good friends have just opened a bar right here in Macclesfield. As you can imagine, we are very keen to support such ventures and contribute in any small way we can to the local community. Fancy a beer? Drop us a line...
